No finance degree. No experience. No problem.
Your first real career could be helping people buy homes.
Most loan officers didn't study mortgages. They studied psychology, marketing, communications — or nothing at all. What they had was drive. If that's you, we'll walk you from zero to licensed to closing your first loan.
The career nobody told you about
A loan officer is the person who makes homeownership actually happen.
When someone buys a house, a loan officer is the one who figures out what they can afford, finds the right loan, and guides them from "just looking" to keys-in-hand. It's part advisor, part advocate, part project manager — and it's a relationship business, not a desk job.
It's also one of the few careers left where your income and your effort are directly connected, and where the business you build this year keeps paying you back for decades.

The exam is beatable with real prep. We recommend Affinity Real Estate & Mortgage Services.
4Schedule & pass the SAFE test
120 questions (115 scored + 5 unscored), 75% to pass, at a Prometric center.
5Apply + get sponsored
File your MN application; we sponsor your license and you're live.

For the entrepreneurial
It's a business you own, with a team behind you.
Startup energy, real backing
You build your own brand, your own database, your own referral network — with a national lender's licensing, compliance, products, and support underneath you.
The work compounds
Every closed loan produces a happy client, and happy clients produce referrals. Year three is easier than year one — most careers can't say that.
Trained, not thrown in
Our branch pairs new LOs with producing mentors, real marketing systems, and a structured first-90-days plan. You're never guessing what to do next.
Curious? That’s all it takes to start.
No application, no commitment, no résumé polishing required. Email the branch, ask anything, and we’ll tell you honestly whether this career fits you.
